Family Mediation Services

My name is Julia Love, and I am an Accredited Family Mediator and the founder of Alliance Family Mediation. I am a member of the Family Mediation Council and the Family Mediation Association.
With a warm, empathetic manner and a calm, solution-focused approach, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of families navigate separation, divorce, and the many challenges that arise during times of change. My practice is built on the belief that, with the right support and space for reflection, families can move forward with dignity and confidence.
I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. My aim is always to guide individuals and parents toward practical, constructive outcomes that allow all parties to make informed decisions for the future.
Every mediator must work with a Professional Practice Consultant (PPC), and I am very fortunate that mine is also a sitting Family Court Judge. This provides me with valuable insight and ongoing professional support, helping me maintain the highest standards in my practice.
Whether clients are seeking to resolve arrangements for their children, financial matters, or simply find a more peaceful way forward, I am here to help them work through conflict with empathy, clarity, and support.

My passion for mediation really started when I discovered how mediation can help resolve issues around separation and divorce without the need of going into court. Being able to help families reach amicable agreements in a less stressful and less expensive way is extremely rewarding.
The beauty of mediation is that you get to decide the outcome, instead of the courts deciding for you. I am here to guide you by sharing legal knowledge, offering understanding and empathy to your situation.
I can help you apply a solution based approach to the issues you are facing with child arrangements, property and finances. I understand from my own personal experience that family breakdowns and divorce can be extremely upsetting, confusing and emotional for everyone involved.
I am here to support you through each step of the process and to enable you to find the way forward to a positive future.
& Introducing Emma Ingham…
Accredited Family Mediator and Child Inclusive Mediator | CIM
Member of the Family Mediation Council |College of Mediators | NFM
Emma offers a calm, empathetic, and knowledgeable approach to supporting separating families. She brings a strong portfolio of professional experience and skills to her mediation practice, with a particular specialism in children and parenting matters. Emma has extensive experience mediating a wide range of issues, including child arrangements, property, and financial matters following separation or divorce. Her background as a non-practising solicitor allows her to support clients with clarity and sensitivity, drawing on her legal knowledge without becoming legalistic.

Prior to training as a mediator, Emma qualified and practised as a solicitor, gaining experience in all aspects of family law. She holds a LLM Master’s degree in Child Law, which underpins her deep understanding of the legal and emotional complexities that can arise in matters involving children.
Emma decided to retrain as a mediator following a career break to raise her two daughters. In reflecting on her return to work, she realised that while she greatly valued the opportunity to help and support clients, she no longer wished to be part of the adversarial court process.
Mediation offered a more constructive, forward-focused way to assist families at a time of change and difficulty.
Clients often describe Emma as warm, understanding, and highly professional. She takes pride in helping individuals and families find a way forward, using her expertise in law, communication, and conflict resolution to create a safe and supportive space for dialogue.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with her friends and family (often over coffee and cake), reading, and has recently taken up running – very, very slowly!
