Alliance Family Mediation.
My passion for family mediation began when years later I discovered family mediation and realised how it can help people navigate separation and divorce without the need to go to court. It was a real turning point – understanding that there is a more constructive way forward, one that supports better communication and helps individuals and couples reach agreement on important matters.
That understanding and passion have led me into this work. I wanted to help others move through separation in a calmer, more respectful way – reducing conflict and creating space for clearer, more considered decisions about the future.
Julia is also a qualified Professional Practice Consultant (PPC), meaning she supports and supervises other family mediators in their professional practice, in accordance with the standards set by the Family Mediation Council (FMC).
Julia brings a calm, methodical and structured approach to family mediation, creating a space where matters can be explored in a clear and constructive way. She works collaboratively with individuals and couples to move through separation with greater clarity – reducing conflict and supporting practical, solution-focused outcomes.
She understands how challenging and emotionally complex separation can be, and this informs the way she works – ensuring every client feels heard, respected and supported throughout the process.
Clients often describe Emma as warm, approachable and highly professional. She is passionate about helping individuals and families find practical ways forward, creating a calm and supportive space where conversations can take place safely and solutions can be reached.
Emma has extensive experience mediating a wide range of issues, including child arrangements, property, and financial matters following separation or divorce. Her background as a non-practising solicitor allows her to support clients with clarity and sensitivity, drawing on her legal knowledge without becoming legalistic.
Emma is a qualified family mediator and former solicitor with extensive experience in family law. She also holds a Master’s degree (LLM) in Child Law, giving her a strong understanding of the legal and emotional complexities that can arise in matters involving children.
After taking a career break to raise her two daughters, Emma chose to retrain as a mediator, recognising that mediation offers families a more constructive and forward-focused alternative to the traditional court process.
Office Manager
Before joining the mediation practice as Administrative Manager, Pam built a strong foundation within the legal sector. She brings that experience with quiet confidence, combining professional rigour with a sincere commitment to supporting families during what can often be one of the most challenging times in their lives. Her background informs the structured, discreet, and conscientious approach she applies to both administration and client care.
Pam understands that mediation is far more than a process. It is a deeply human experience. Behind every enquiry is a person or family navigating uncertainty, change, and often emotional strain. With warmth, empathy, and exceptional organisational skill, she ensures that every client feels welcomed, reassured, and clearly guided from the very first point of contact. Her calm and dependable presence behind the scenes creates a steady and supportive framework, allowing mediators to focus fully on helping families move towards constructive and lasting outcomes.
Outside of work, Pam enjoys travelling, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends.
